Oh, I will be downloading that because changing folders for DAZ3D files that follow the IM00012345.zip format was probably a short yawn ๐ฅฑ for you and the other gurus. Changing folders for files from renderosity.com is a coder nightmare in the making. As for anything from rendererotica.com, only the terminally insane would even open that door to mass confusion hell.
When downloading bundles, you get Renderosity folders with the DAZ store folders. Here's an example of folder content (if you're lucky):
| Full142089_0b430127e284e59766baf8046eb60d86.jpg
| SC+Frey1_262034.zip, SC+Frey1_262035.zip, SC+Frey1_262036.zip, SC+Frey1_262037.zip
Soooo....which number do we use? Wait...how do we know the folder # won't conflict with a DAZ store folder?
This one I have manually named by the convention that is SUPPOSED to be used, but maybe 1 folder in 5,000 will be done right--the designers are just lazy. The CORRECT name of this folder would be:
and yeah (LOL) it took me while to figure this out.
If you are lucky ๐ค, the folder will have a .JPG with Full123456_[some random shit]. I can see altering the original Python file to parse the .JPG, grab the numbers, add an "RO" and append it as a prefix. Well, for me, their might be much screaming involved๐ฑ...because technically, if the number series is less than (6), "zeroes" would be added after the "RO".
Here we get into the realm of the "hardcore mofo programmer." A DAZ user will have to unzip those files in the example above and manually drag the folders/files into their content directory--suckage at best. The DAZ store IM00012345.zip files contain XML files to load DAZ files through Daz Install Manager (DIM). This is cool because you can uninstall whatever you install, and it keeps a record so duplicates don't get installed.
There's a program called "Content Package Assist" (IM00030735-01_ContentPackageAssistWin.zip) that is loaded through DIM or the .EXE can be extracted and run separately. ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ด-๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐, and gosh-golly-gee, it makes .ZIP files that can be added to DIM.
Mighty difficult to use๐คฏ....you know, real Einstein-level stuff like draggin' the aforementioned .ZIP files into a window, dragging the .JPG into a little window, and...hold your breath...typing in the "RO" prefix and the numbers (it automatically adds extra digits). A couple other options, and PRESTO--a file that can be loaded in DIM.
And those muthafuckers on Renderosity rarely, rarely ever use it. I use "Content Package Assist" for all non-DIM files like Renderosity or make my own homebrew groups like WW00000069-WonderWomanHotness.zip
Like Martin Luther King ๐คด๐พ, I have a dream...a dream of fluffy bunnies ๐ and sprites ๐งwhere I had a program that would a) fix the Renderosity folder name and b) hook into "Content Package Assist" and make my happy-snappy DIM file.
Any takers? Mind you, I'm a broke-ass cripple who will likely be pushing up daisies...sometime...so, I can't pay you. But, we can dream like the MLK, my bruthas!
