[Login to see the link] -- I'm using Acrobat Pro XI portable - several are still available here on sA
with great Thx to peeps like [Login to see the link] & others --> I just don't like Acrobat DC gui !
plus, I don't experience any additional functionality from DC, either
(not to mention how the 1st few versions removed the phenomenal "ClearScan"
proprietary Adobe OCR technology!!) .
So, in Acrobat Pro - select "Content" Pane on the Left (make it show along w/ "Pages", "Bookmarks", etc.)
then it will list every individual page, and when you click on each individual page,
then it will break the page down into many components:
Annotations, Containers, Form XObject, Path, Text, etc.
This can be a very tedious learning experience - but by simply clicking on each one,
& then noticing which "Object" is highlighted on the page in the regular viewing pane,
you will see your desired target to delete -- quite often without deleting anything else --
this level of interaction is very granular.
and totally make a pdf surrender to their will -- I'm still just a hack who hopes to understand that
in a few more months.
I echo what [Login to see the link] already said -- when Acrobat Pro chokes, my 1st & only Go-To is PDF-xChange --
where I open then save the problematic pdf to a new name, then Acrobat will finally play nicely with it.
Thx to all for the suggestions in this thread 😄
