Hello, I would like to share this wonderful resources with you, the credit goes to the original one who create it.
Lots of people struggle to install dictionaries from known publishers as Longman, Oxford, Cambridge, Macmillan, Collins, ..etc on Linux, because these guys along with Adobe, Microsoft, and the rest hate open source software/system.
But luckily there are always solutions and alternative.
These list of dictionaries will work on any device including Linux, Windows, MacOS, Android, and IOS
First of all you need to download Goldendict , just google how to install it on your device.
For example, to install it on Ubuntu, do this:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install goldendict
For other operation systems you can install Golden dict or other alternatives like Mdict, Bluedict, ...etc.
-To install Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary 10th edition, first download these files and place them
on you favorable directory, e.g. /home/username/OALD10

Make sure to rename oald10.css with the same name as the others (Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary 10th.css)
For Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English 6th Edition do the same, download the files and put them inside a directory like /home/username/LDOCE6.

Note: You can put all dictionaries from different publishers on one directory if you wish
Those dictionaries include definitions, pronunciation, pictures, ..etc.
Now let us come to the wonderful site [Login to see the link] which has pronunciation for all
languages recorded by native speakers.
Go to this link and download the audio file of the targeted language: [Login to see the link]
There are two formats, OPUS and MP3, OPUS has higher quality and less size, choose the one you prefer, unpack it to the directory you wish.
To add those dictionary to Goldendict, open the software, select: Edit > Dictionaries > Add, then select the directory you previously added the dictionaries to it.
For the unpacked Forvo audio select: Edit > Dictionaries > Add > Sound Dirs, then select the directory which contains the sounds.
