I have used many over the years. OBS is robust but somehow the output quality of webcam (even with a good one) is not sharp.
This site is full of so many recorders, most of them are good. I liked Camtasia, Bandicam, Snagit, Active Presenter, Debut, Wirecast.
Recently, I have found some more good ones, ApowerREC (among the best), Hitpaw, Passfab, Gomcam and mmhmm.
All these SW produce crisp and low size files without any damage.
I had bad experience with Logitech capture, Movavi (OK but slow), apps in Windows store and many others not mentioned here (I am unable to recall those names).
Try the ones I have suggested and you may find the one you would love.

ApowerREC. It's small in size. Doesn't use a lot of memory. And it's portable. Install it in your personal laptop, zip the install folder and extract it to your work laptop, and would work just fine

Thank you for all the great suggestions? But can anything capture back in time like Shadowplay (Geforce) and AMD's really bad alternative that never works?
