SoftArchive's New Logo (according to AI)

Just for fun, I asked one of the new AI-graphics engines to create a logo for SoftArchive.

I included a variety of details/prompt engineering to get different variations.

The results are really funny. On the chance SoftArchive would like to use them, they are completely royalty-free and can be used without any hassle (I have a commercial account, all output is usable for websites/commercially/no limitations).

NOTE: The text you see in the logos is just "placeholder" text, to be replaced.

Is it an online ai generator or an offline one?

svartevarg - I have not yet witnessed an offline AI / generative-design tool that is powerful to the point of creating quality graphics.

In this instance, I used MidJourney. I had attempted first with Dall-E and they were poor quality.

And besides, I just ordered a coffee mug with the classic SoftArchive logo.

Bensonmum Technically those were just quick attempts for fun.

If this were a serious attempt to create a new logo, I'd spend an hour tweaking prompts and we could probably come up with something really great. The problem is that MidJourney doesn't have many ideas for graphical metaphors, so I'd need a better idea of parameters.

I digress.. As a prototyping tool (for a human to seek inspiration) it's very difficult to beat MidJourney.

I wasn't aware SA had an official logo -- or merch -- where do I buy myself a fancy SoftArchive coffee mug?!

It's just that the current AI hype everywhere kind of annoys me.
(I guess it won't be long before my local bakery will offer me an AI optimized bread, sigh.)

The SoftArchive coffee mug thing was meant to be a joke. But in fact you can really order all kinds of merchandise products with individual labels and pictures online, even single pieces. So a nice black coffee mug with [Login to see the link], why not. But for that, an AI would have to design the optimal shape of a coffee mug first...

I used the wrong terminology. I should have said logoart, masthead, mascot, etc.

I had intended only to have some fun, showcasing some of the new AI/generative graphic design tools. Although I'm looking forward to buying some of that sweet, sweet SoftArchive merch ;-)

I always blindly believed it was the portrait of Norrin Radd drawn by some visually impaired child...

The existing logo is extremely Simple, Smart and Secretive.
If you look closely at the icon, it is a Morse code and i++ enough times on a "rotating cup" one can communicate with non-Alien humans.

The anagram of "SoftArchive" is an anagram, the non-human aliens revealed it to me.
